Cookie Policy of techrecycling-berlin.com

This document informs users about the technologies that this application uses to achieve the purposes described below. These technologies make it possible to access or store information (e.g., by using cookies) on the user’s device or utilize the device’s data processing capabilities when the user visits or uses this application.

For simplicity, these technologies, unless there is a need to differentiate them, are referred to in this document as “Trackers.”
While cookies can be used in both web and mobile browsers, they do not apply to mobile apps in the sense of browser-based Trackers. Therefore, this document uses the term “cookie” only when referring to that specific type of Tracker.

Certain processing purposes for which Trackers are used require the user’s consent, depending on applicable law. If consent is given, it can be freely withdrawn at any time using the procedure described in this document.

This application uses first-party Trackers (also known as “proprietary Trackers”) and third-party Trackers in connection with third-party services (also known as “third-party Trackers”). Unless otherwise specified in this document, such third parties also have access to the Trackers they manage.
The duration and expiration of cookies and other comparable Trackers depend on their defined lifetime set by the Provider or by the respective third-party provider. Some of them expire as soon as the user’s browsing session ends.
To obtain more accurate and up-to-date information regarding their duration, as well as other relevant information—such as whether additional Trackers are used—users are referred to the descriptions of the categories listed below and, furthermore, to the linked privacy policies of the respective third-party providers or to contacting the Provider.

Google Analytics (Universal Analytics) with IP Anonymization (Google Ireland Limited)

Google Analytics (Universal Analytics) is a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (“Google”). Google uses the collected data to track and analyze how this application is used, to compile reports on its activities, and to share them with other Google services.
Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network.
On this website, IP anonymization has been activated, so that the IP address of users is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before transmission. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the U.S. and shortened there.

Manage Settings and Grant or Withdraw Consents

Tracker settings management, as well as granting and withdrawing consent, can be done in various ways:

Users can manage Tracker settings directly through their own device settings, for example by entirely preventing the use or storage of Trackers.

Where the use of Trackers is based on consent, users can also grant or withdraw consent via the cookie notice or by changing the original choice in the relevant privacy preference consent widget (if available).

Already stored Trackers, including those used for storing the user’s initial consent preferences, can also be deleted via the appropriate browser or device settings.

Other Trackers that are stored in the browser’s local storage can be removed by deleting the browsing history.

With regard to any third-party Trackers, users can manage their settings by following the relevant opt-out link (if provided), using the means indicated in the third party’s privacy policy, or by contacting the third party directly.

Manage Tracker Settings

For example, users can find information on how to manage cookies in the most commonly used browsers at the following addresses:

  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Apple Safari
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Brave
  • Opera

Users can also manage certain Trackers used in mobile apps through their device settings—for example, through the device settings for advertising on mobile devices, or more generally through tracking settings (users can check their device settings to find the relevant controls).

Consequences of Refusing the Use of Trackers

Users are free to decide whether or not to grant consent for the use of Trackers. However, it should be noted that Trackers help this application provide users with a better user experience and enhanced features (in accordance with the purposes described in this document). If the user chooses to block Trackers, the Provider may not be able to deliver the corresponding features.
